Principal Jennifer L. Myree
Happy School Year Rees E. Price Academy Community,
Greetings from Rees E. Price Academy of Expeditionary Learning (REPA). REPA students are ready to ROAR! “We are Ready to Overcome Adversity to Reach our full potential!” The REPA school community will ROAR even louder with our Expeditionary Learning program focus on; Mastery of Knowledge and Skills, Character Building and High-Quality Student Work.
REPA students will wear uniforms when they attend school. The student uniform consists of a white or light blue collared shirt with dark blue/khaki bottoms; jeans are not acceptable. Students should wear closed-toe shoes; flip-flops and/or sandals will not be permitted.
When you visit Rees E. Price Academy this year, you will notice that there are many new faces in our school community. There are new teachers, cafeteria and custodial staff members. All of the new members of our REPA Pride family are compassionate and committed to student and community success.
We are further committed to increase our community engagement by expanding our communication and social media presence. We welcome all REPA stakeholders to join our Facebook page, follow us on Twitter, and interact through their CPS Schoology accounts. Every REPA student will bring home a weekly Wednesday folder. The contents of the folder will provide important school and class information. The teacher and Principal newsletters will be posted on the school website. The information in the newsletters will ensure that all REPA stakeholders are informed about all of our success.
Please mark your calendars for our Annual Back-To-School Safari Night on August 15, 2019 from 1- 3 p.m. at our school. REPA families can tour the school and visit their new classrooms, meet his/her teacher, set up the student’s desk, and pick up limited school supplies. Our Kindergarten orientation is 8:30-11:30 a.m. Friday, August 16, 2019.
The school doors will open for our first official day of school at 7:30 a.m. Monday, August 19, 2019. We look forward to seeing our student’s smiling faces and welcoming them to the new school year.
We encourage you to contact the school if you have any questions or need more information.
Yours in Education,
Ms. Jennifer L. Myree
